what is a cat lounge?
Our Cat Lounge is a cozy, relaxing space where you can unwind and enjoy the company of adoptable cats. Every visit supports their care while they wait for their forever homes. Come play, cuddle, and connect with our feline friends in a safe and comfortable environment.
is there a fee to visit the cats?
Fees for entry into the Cat Lounge help support the ongoing care of our cats while they wait for their forever homes. Your visit directly contributes to essential expenses such as litter, food, toys, and general maintenance. Thanks to your admission fee—and any additional donations—you’re helping provide a safe, comfortable, and enriching environment for these kitties until they find the loving families they deserve.
is there an age restriction for visiting the cat lounges?
Everyone is welcome; however, children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. A separate waiver for the minor is required and must be signed by the accompanying adult. Please remember that our goal is to maintain a calm, relaxed environment for the cats and our guests. If disruptive behavior continues, we may ask the guest to leave without a refund. Admission fees are the same for both children and adults.
do i need a reservation?how does booking work?
Securing a spot in advance is not required, but we recommend it so you secure space in the lounge and let us know you'll be there! Walk-ins are welcome, just subject to availability. We limit our lounge a limited aount per session for the perfect cat-to-person ratio. We have a large space, but we would hate to turn you away! It stinks!
Please note, reservations are never needed when visiting the café portion. There is seating available with windows looking into our cat lounges so you can watch the fun while enjoying a delicious beverage or snack.
can i bring my cat?
No- we do not allow outside animals into our cat lounges. It would be stressful for your cat and for ours, trust us on this one. We've got you covered on the cats!
We do allow well behaved outside dogs and cats to visit our cafe area.
what are the rules for the cat lounge?
To ensure a smooth visit, be sure to familiarize yourself with our general cat etiquette and house rules here.
how do I adopt a cat?
If a cat or kitten in the lounge steals your heart and you’re interested in adoption, please let the cat room attendant or a staff member at the café bar know! While adoption decisions are not made at the café, there are Wayward Whiskers' QR code application links and paper adoption applications available for you to complete on-site or take home and return.

what if i cant make my reservation?
You may cancel your reservation for a refund up to 24 hours before your reservation. If you must cancel within 24-hours of your reservation, contact us at 878-214-8075 and we will help you reschedule for a better time as a refund will not be available.
why must i take off my shoes to visit the cat lounges?
We kindly ask all guests to remove their shoes before entering the lounge to help maintain a clean and healthy environment for our café cats. Shoes pick up all kinds of dirt and germs throughout the day, and keeping them out helps protect our feline friends. Feel free to bring your coziest socks from home or go in barefoot!
myself or a friend/family member has a cat they can not keep, can you help?
We are not legally allowed to accept cats, as we are not a drop-off facility or shelter. Bringing in an unvetted animal could also put the cats living here at risk. If you need help rehoming or placing a cat, please search for local rescues and shelters that can assist with safe placement.
